Hot Water Extraction:  Deep Carpet Cleaning, Upholstery & Rug Cleaning - This system uses hot water or steam and low-foaming or low foam shampoo. Many shampoos include surfactants, suspension compounds, optical brighteners and even antimicrobial compounds to inhibit growth of common bacteria, yeast, fungi, mildew and mold.

This system dispenses water and chemicals into the carpet through injection hoses and jets and used a vacuum hose to pick up subsequent residue. This system is used to deep clean carpet fibers. Large areas can be deep cleaned in minimal time, but cleaners must allow enough time for carpet to dry before subsequent use.

Bonnet Cleaning System: Carpet, Upholstery & Rug Cleaning - This method uses a special pad — a bonnet— treated with water and chemicals. A rotary machine spins the pad, which removes the dirt.  The bonnet is then flushed out.

BONNET CLEANING DEFINITION:
This method uses a special pad, or bonnet, treated with a chemical solution. The bonnet is placed on a rotary machine that spins the pad on the carpet. Dirt in the carpet is released onto the bonnet and flushed out on a regular basis. This system does not use as much moisture as the extraction method. And because the bonnet skims the carpet surface, this system is primarily used for quick surface cleaning.
